JUpload 1.2 - A Browser-Independent Client-side Upload Applet

Just like XUpload, JUpload is a client-side upload agent that provides features not found in traditional HTML form-based uploading. However, being a Java applet, JUpload also provides something XUpload lacks - browser independence. We have put together a live demo page (see below) you can use to upload a few files to our server using JUpload.

JUpload features include:

Compatibility with both IE and Netscape.
Both file upload and download functionality.

Redirects a browser to another page upon completion of an upload.

What's New in JUpload 1.2

JUpload 1.2 is a service release. It has no major new features.
HTTP 1.1 support added for downloading files from multiple sites hosted on a single IP address.
Challenge/Response authentication support added for file downloading.
A number of minor bugs fixed in both upload and download modules.

What's New in JUpload 1.1

A new parameter, DisplayFloppies, has been added which makes JUpload search for, and present, the list of floppy disk, CD and Zip drive letters in the Select Files dialog.
"Save All As" button has been added to JDownload that allows a user to specify a local directory to save all the files to. Also, the new methods openSaveAllDialog and openSaveAsDialog have been added to be used with JavaScript.
It used to be impossible to start an upload if JUpload was used inside a <FORM> and no files were selected. This limitation is now fixed.
Several bugs in various methods and properties have been fixed. See the User Manual for the complete list of fixes.

"Do I still need AspUpload?"

Yes. JUpload is a client-side Java applet that sends files to the server. AspUpload is a server component that resides on the web server and captures the uploaded files. While AspUpload can be used without JUpload (if files are uploaded using an HTML form), JUpload requires AspUpload to capture uploaded files.

Licensing & Pricing

Like XUpload, JUpload is licensed per-server. The single server license is $200.00. If you currently own an Enterprise license for AspUpoad, you will automatically receive an Enterprise upgrade for JUpload with the purchase of the single server license.
The Enterprise license for all three products (AspUpload, XUpload, and JUpload) is $500.00.
